Professional Learning is the ​means by which teachers, administrators, and other staff acquire, enhance, and refine the knowledge, skills, practices, and dispositions necessary to create and support high levels of learning for all students.

Instructional Leadership Workshops​
The Division of School and District Effectiveness is excited to announce our Instructional Leadership Workshops for the 2019-20 school year. These workshop are intended to meet expressed and identified needs of school and district leaders throughout the state of Georgia and will be presented from a leadership perspective.

ILW 1: School Safety and Climate

ILW 3: The Georgia Numeracy Project

Workshop Description: The Georgia Numeracy Project is a free numeracy development resource provided by the Georgia Department of Education, which introduces teachers and teacher leaders to the trajectory by which learners acquire a solid foundation in numeracy. The Georgia Numeracy Project is focused on developing students' understanding of numbers, and their ability to use numbers to solve problems.

ILW 4: Best Practice for Multi-Tiered System of Supports

Workshop Description: Dr. Tessie Rose-Bailey will provide an overview of the essential components of the nationally aligned framework for a multi-tiered system of supports.
